Conchita Wurst Tom

Conchita Wurst Tom suddenly became famous in the world after winning the eurovision 2014.  Thomas “Tom” Neuwirth is his real name. Born in 6 November 1988, he is also known as an Austrian singer. His performance is very unique because he show a beautiful lady performance with beard on his face.

Conchita wurst represented Austria in Eurovision contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. Unpredictably, he won the contest. He uses female pronouns for self description when in the role of Wurst. Conchita Wurst “Tom” was born in 6 November 1988, in Gmunden, Austria.

Conchita Wurst followed the Austrian Casting show Starmania and reached the final in 2007. He made the character Conchita Wurst in 2011. Conchita Wurst, is apersonal that he created as a reaction  to earlier experiences. He said. “ This is about an important message. It is call for tolerance for everything that seems different.”

The word “Conchita” came from his Cuban Friend. And the word Wurst came from German Expression  ‘Das ist mir doch alles Wurst” which means “ I don’t care” or “It is all the same to me”

 

As  “Conchita Wurst”, Tom has participated in the ORF production The Hardest Jobs of Austria. He also has been involved in a fish factory, and In  Wild Girls. This last event is about a group of candidates that must survive in the Deserts of Namibia together with native tribes.

 

Conchita Wurst music career  began in 2006. In 2006, he took part in the third edition of an Austrian TV show de:Starmania. He got the second place after Nadine Beiler.  After a year, he established a boyband name Jetz Anders, but it doest last for long time. In the same year, he disbanded the group.

 

 

In 2011, Tom Neuwirth, introduced the persona Conchita Wurst, in the ORF show Die große Chance. Where he got the second place in the Austrian preselection for Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
